BRAIN CONNECTIVITY SEARCH ENGINE

Given a Brain Area or a pair as input, the engine searches a corpus of around 53k full text neuroscience articles for evidences about connected brain regions

Features
  • Enter the first brain region (BR1) you wish to find connections for. ⇒
  • Enter the second brain region (BR2) you wish to find connections for. This is an optional field.⇒
    • If both Brain Regions (BR1 & BR2) are entered then those statements that signify a connection between the two entered Brain Regions are extracted
    • If only the first Brain Region is entered then those statemnts that signify a connection involving the entered Brain Region is extracted
  • Select the database from which you wish to extract connectivity statements ⇒
    • PubMed-Retrieves connectivity statements from PubMed articles
    • WhiteText-Retrieves connectivity statements from the WhiteText dataset
    • All-Retrieves connectivity statements from both PubMed and WhiteText articles (default selection)
  • Select the model to be used to extract connectivity statements ⇒
    • Regex-Retrieves connectivity statements where pattern keywords are present
    • Conn Word presence-Retrieves connectivity statements where a connection word is present
    • BioBERT-Retrieves connectivity statements where a relation has been identified by the BioBERT algorithm
    • All-Retrieves connectivity statements from all the above mentioned models (default selection)
  • Enter the maximum number of brain regions to be present in the sentences extracted (set to 5 by default) ⇒
